EASIL refers to the equipment, technologies, and systems available to experiential designers, that can be organized to provide a particular guest experience. EASIL is an acronym for Environmental Effects, Audio, Staging, Imaging, and Lighting.
Environmental Effects - includes specialized application of any of the following audio, staging, imaging, and lighting systems, as well as specialized effects for enhanced performance. Water, wind, and laser effects, snowfall and smoke effecs, and the variety of mechancial special effects including solenoid-actuated effects are included here.
Audio - includes all manner of sound playback, from zoned environmental audio to point-source sounds featuring carefully articulated "sound episodes."
Staging - includes all means and methods of placing a performance in front of an audience, whether fixed stages, hydraulic-mounted stages, fly-mounted (or flying) performances, and the like.
Imaging - includes all still and motion imagery, whether photographic and videographic, displayed using the array of projection methods available today. The variety of projection surfaces are also included here, from traditional screens, scrims, and built surfaces, to projections onto fog, smoke, and water, as well as holographic effects.
Lighting - includes architectural, theatrical lighting, and specialty lighting.
