LEED is an acronym for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design" promulgated by the U.S. Green Building Council, which indicates USGBC vertification that a building or community was designed with "green" sensibilities.
LEED "green" strategies focus on energy savings, water efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, indoor environmental quality, and overall management of the impact of built environments on the environment.
