The Product goal is to create flexibly-formatted exhibit infrastructure, to allow Casper's Amazing Halloween House to appeal to kids during daytime operating hours, and with change-out, to appeal to adults during evening operating hours. For each season in which it operates, the attraction is intended to act as the ultimate place to experience that season - in the case of the Halloween version, the goal is to position Casper the Friendly Ghost and Felix the Cat's Amazing Halloween House as the ultimate place to experience Halloween, including costume purchase. The operating philosophy of the kid's version is not to scare, but to delight, although there will be an operating strategy in the maze that older kids may experience a modest scare in what they could only expect to be a mild kid's experience. The targeted kid's age group is 4 to 12 year olds (which matches the interest of many cereal and candy bar company sponsors). Paid attendance for business planning purposes is estimated at 50,000 to 100,000, depending upon the location and traffic. Unpaid attendance will be significantly greater, as the Peak Hour Performances will be viewable from outside the Venue (intentionally), and the retail and soft play areas will be secured but not gated. The Kid-to-Adult daily changeout design goal is one hour. One of the primary changeout tactics is to make extensive use of painted 4 x 8 flats that can easily slotted in place.
