Direction of acquisitions program for major offshore investor (assets in U.S. $1 billion plus), with portfolio consisting of real estate, recreation, hospitality real estate, as well as operating businesses.
Acquisitions program activities included prospecting, exploration, and solicitation of new acquisition deals on a nationwide basis, and management of a network of third-party brokers, referrers, developers, and key contacts. Acquisitions program included participation in auctions convened by Resolution Trust Corp. ("RTC") to dispose of assets held by failed savings & loan financial institutions, including successful negotiations with the RTC to acquire such properties as Banning Lewis Ranch in Colorado Springs.
