Stonecreek LLC affiliate Adventure Studios worked with the owner of this prominent redevelopment property in the Old Pasadena area of the city. The owwner operates a wholesale and retail decorative business from the site.
Working in collaboration with the project architect Marc A. Futter & Associates, an illustrative guest program was created based on the heritage of the city and the neighborhood, and integrating tenant leasing strategies, experiential multi-media ieas, live event programming, and potential sponsorship opportunities.
The project would be situated on one end of the historic Old Town Pasadena area (California). The Old Town district is one of Southern California's success stories with regard to historic districts. Bordered by Marengo Avenue and Pasadena Avenue to the east and west, Old Pasadena encompasses a district from Holly Street on the North to Green Street on the South. Colorado Boulevard is the primary pedestrian and automobile route that traverses the district, although the many side streets, alleyways and sidewalks provide the distinct character of Old Town Pasadena. Colorado Boulevard is perhaps best known as the primary portion of the annual Rose Parade that is televised each year to national and international television audiences. An urban destination for the region, for entertainment, dining and shopping, Old Pasadena and bordering areas including South Lake Avenue have become increasingly popular as tourist attractions and night spots.
Many of the historic buildings in the district have been restored and the street-front shops maintain their appeal to the hundreds - if not thousands - who stroll the sidewalks each day. Old Pasadena abounds with night clubs, bars, over 50 restaurants serving all types of cuisine and countless specialty shops offering such items as clothing, antiques, furniture and exotic items from around the world. Weekly, one can find all genres of live music from rock, jazz and blues to classical plus dancing, comedy, and billiards.
