Grimsby is one of the founding Canadian communities whose history and spirit of its residents, provides a living heart for this part of Ontario. The lakeshore in Grimsby is a feature of local life. Through 1949, Grimsby Beach was a major holiday resort, well-known throughout Canada, with carousels, a roller coaster, and movie theater.

South Shore is situated in the Town of Grimsby, the mid-point between the Toronto metropolitan area and Niagara Falls, each approximately 45 miles from the Project site. The Town of Grimsby is part of the Hamilton metropolitan area, an urbanized locality in the Ontario region.South Shore is a planned mixed-use development, to be developed at a 3.0 to 1 floor-area ratio, taking advantage of 300 yards of scenic Lake Ontario shorefront.
The Toronto skyline is visible from the lakefront’s south shore, situated about 30 miles over the water from Grimsby. The development site is known locally as Palace Polonaise now improved with a Polish club and event hall. LOWER RIGHT: view of Project site, current condition.
