Master plan and business plan for conversion of marina holdings in Marina del Rey into an in-region destination resort. Resort contemplated would include three existing hotel properties held by the ownership group under ground lease with the County of Los Angeles.
Work effort included strategic marketing considerations in formulating "big ideas" for the resort and resulting ideation. Master plan was then integrated and processed for approval in Local Coastal Plan (LCP) approved by the California Coastal Commission.
The Marina del Rey Hotel is situated at a unique position at the tip of a marina peninsula affording excellent access to boating, sailing, fishing and a variety of water sports. The 157 guest rooms and over 10,000 square feet of banquet and meeting facilities have marina views.
The Marina International Hotel includes 134 guest rooms including 24 bungalows. The 24 unique bungalows, some on a split level, each featuring a different decor are located in the courtyard level of the hotel.
